Kidney cancer, also known as renal cancer, is a group of cancers that starts in the kidney. The kidneys are two small shaped organs, each size of a fist. They’re located in your abdomen on either side of your spine. The kidneys filter out waste from your blood and make urine. There are different types of cancer that can affect your kidneys.

Treatment:-
When diagnose with kidney cancer depending on how early the cancer is detected and which stage is cancer is diagnosed. According that your doctor will plan your treatment. Your doctor may refer you to a specialist for treatment.
Surgery
These are the main types of surgery for kidney cancer.

In Radical Nephrectomy the entire kidney is removed, along with the fat surrounding it. In some cases, the gland and lymph nodes around the kidney are also removed.

In Simple nephrectomy removes the kidney only.

In Partial nephrectomy doctor removes the cancer in the kidney along with some tissue around it. This procedure is used for patients with smaller tumors less than 4 cm or in those patients in which a radical nephrectomy might hurt the other kidney.
